Featured Farmer

For Earth Month, we want you to meet some of the people who interact with and are the best stewards of the land—our farmers!

Meet Nick Stridsberg from San Gabriel Ranch! If you’ve had any of the citrus we’ve had in stock lately, it likely came from Nick’s farm. A multi-generational family owned farm, San Gabriel now grows more unusual fruits like mangoes and passionfruit as well as a fun mix of citrus—pomelos, Cara Cara oranges, grapefruits, minneolas—and more.

We interviewed Nick to learn why he loves what he does—click the image or button below for a clip of the conversation!

New Bulletin: Perks & Progress

We’re starting an easy to read bi-weekly e-bulletin to remind you of your regular and special owner perks and also to provide an up-to-date answer to the question, “How are we doing? “Hope and Good News” is the theme of the first issue, coming to owner inboxes on April 13.

We're are now 2600 owners strong! We're grateful to the households and individuals who have invested in, established, and contributed to running Wild Onion! Know someone who wants to become a member? Share this link!

Equal Exchange Exclusive Coffee

Want to know a perk of being part of a community owned market (co-op)? We have exclusive access to some really good coffee!

In the bulk coffee section, we have special featured beans from Equal Exhange's Organic BioRevolution Coffee! With a fully cooperative supply chain, Equal Exchange is a worker-owned company that partners intentionally with small-scale farmer co-ops to grow and process the coffee.

Buying bags of their beans also supports environmental restoration efforts. For every pound sold, 50 cents is directed to farmer-led projects focused on soil health and long-term resilience. These include developing living biofertilizers using native microorganisms, improving soil fertility without synthetic inputs, and experimenting with practices like beekeeping to support pollination and biodiversity.

So grab yourself some beans you can be proud to turn into a delicious cup o' Jo!

Upcoming Gatherings!

It's already April! Check out some of the fun events we have coming up and add them to your calendar!

Since the very first Earth Day in 1970, April 22 has been a day to recognize the importance of our planet and to advocate for, rally around, and spread awareness for ways to caretake our global home. At our Kids' Earth Day Event, the whole family is welcome to learn about sustainability and put skills to practice by making reusable bags, planting seeds, and more!

Come one, come all! Bring your knitting, crocheting, stitching, weaving, and other crafts (at any stage of completion) to the Stitching Circle and create alongside other fellow local fiber artists!

New deals on your favorite snacks, household staples, and more!
