·NPES Students Make a Big Impact with Penny Wars and Share The Love Food Drive - At North Park Elementary School (NPES), students are not only learning in the classroom but also making a difference in their community. This year, NPES 2nd graders achieved two incredible milestones - winning the school-wide Penny Wars competition and leading the Share The Love Food Drive, both benefiting Common Pantry raising $1,710.74 - enough to provide 5,100 meals to neighbors in need. ·Ravenswood Run: Chicago's Favorite Neighborhood Race Returns - The 29th annual Ravenswood Run returns on 4/27/25! For over a quarter century, their family-friendly 5K and Kids' Race has given runners and walkers a chance to experience the charms this pocket of the city possesses. The event also serves as a fundraiser for Ravenswood Community Services' Food Pantry and Community Kitchen, a staple in the community that provides meals and groceries to neighbors in need on the North Side. This Ravenswood Workshop Teaches The Art Of Ratting - "Urban Pooch- which regularly offers grooming, doggie daycare and pet supplies to neighborhood dog owners - is hosting its inaugural ratting workshop on March 16.
