State of the State 2026

Small Business Forum + Panel Discussion

Our annual State of the State forum is returning next month on Wednesday, June 17 from 8:30-10:30am! Join us at Rojo Gusano and take the opportunity to speak directly with local elected officials about the issues that impact you, your business, and your community.

📌 Where: Rojo Gusano, 4217 N Ravenswood Ave

🕰️ When: June 17th @ 8:30-10:30am

🎟️ Your ticket includes breakfast and coffee from Rojo Gusano!

This year, we’ll be speaking with a panel of elected officials including State Senator Mike Simmons (7th district) and State Representative Ann Williams (11th district) to answer your questions about how state policy impacts small businesses and talk about what you should have on your radar in 2026 and beyond.

Whether you’re a small business owner, nonprofit leader, or community member, State of the State is a fantastic way to engage with decision-makers, make new connections, and use your voice!

Plus, John Wiley Lynch of UIC Business will be tabling onsite to chat with attendees about small business resources and UIC's new 2026 Small Business Outlook Survey!
