We still need signatures from property owners to renew SSA #26

We're approximately 50 signatures short with just a couple weeks to go to renew Special Service Area 26 in Edgewater!

Help us continue to provide SSA programs and services in our business districts for the next 15 years. Sign your SSA renewal form NOW.

If you own a commercial property or residential condos in the attached map WE NEED YOU. This is incredibly important. We are in danger of losing SSA funding for sidewalk cleaning, streetscaping, landscaping, holiday decor, sidewalk snow removal, safety initiatives, neighborhood branding, and more.

We really appreciate the support and signatures from condo owners in 1134 W. Granville, 1122 W. Catalpa, 5858 N. Broadway, and 1128 W. Ardmore so far. But we need MORE of your neighbors.

Stop by and sign your forms in person. No appointment necessary, just drop in.

Talk directly with our staff any time between 3pm and 7pm. We can answer questions about SSA #26, your property, and we can provide you with individualized signature forms for your PIN.

We hear that the team at Beard & Belly might even have some cool specials and discounts just for SSA PIN-holders who stop by and sign their renewal forms (!)

Edgewater Music Fest 2026 and we need your help!

The North Side's coolest street fest will be returning to Broadway between Thorndale and Ardmore the weekend of August 28-30, 2026.

We are looking for awesome, friendly, informative, non-confrontational volunteers to staff our gates, greet visitors to the fest and help us raise money at the gates to support Edgewater Music Fest, Edgewater Chamber, Care For Real, and the local small business community.

Volunteers will be working with security, Edgewater Chamber staff, and volunteers from our official non-profit partner, Care For Real. A variety of shifts are available.

Yes: you will get an awesome limited edition EMF Volunteer T-shirt and some other cool perks from local businesses.

Yes: you will definitely be able to enjoy the music from the North or South stages from your gate assignments.

New Mural @ 6116 N. Broadway

"From Nepal to Chicago. Our culture. Our community. Our identity."

Edgewater is proud to be the home of this brand new stunning mural tribute to Chicago's Nepali community, a large concentration of which resides here in Edgewater.

You can find this incredible work of art on the side wall of 6116 N. Broadway facing Glenlake Ave (across from Lickity Split Frozen Custard & Sweets and around the corner from local Nepali restaurant Kathmandu Cafe).

The mural depicts the faces several real Nepali Chicagoans. A couple of the models featured in the mural even showed up in person to celebrate the completion of the mural with us last week and are pictured here in front of the mural.
