If you live/own on Sheridan Road (or most parts of Kenmore or Winthrop) you are NOT in SSA boundaries. We still love you and appreciate your support, but your signatures don't count towards SSA renewal.
Deadlines for renewal are just a couple weeks away and we still need hundreds of signatures to qualify.
If Special Service Area 26 expires, Edgewater will lose supplemental services and programming along Broadway, Bryn Mawr, Devon, and Granville such as: Streetscaping, Landscaping, Litter Abatement, Public Art, Holiday Decor, Sidewalk Snow Removal, and funding for some our favorite events like farmers markets & street festivals.
If we want to maintain a safe, clean, competitive business district with high quality programs, events, and branding, it's essential that we renew SSA #26.
Properties located in Special Service Areas have consistently higher property values, business retention rates, and business attraction rates than properties outside of SSA boundaries. We don't want Edgewater to fall behind our neighboring communities (which all have active SSAs), so please act now!
