Hi,

After summarizing more than 200 books on personal development, peak performance, and business, I get asked what my favorite books are. Here are my top three (with links to the summaries):

If you don't have time to watch or read the full summaries, here is my ten second takeaway for each book:

Atomic Habits by James Clear:

Build healthy and productive habits into your life this year by stacking and starting, then syncing and scoring, until it becomes obvious, easy, attractive, and satisfying. In a few months, the weird habit will seem weird not to do because it’s part of your identity; it’s who you are and what you do.

Getting Things Done by David Allen:

Keep your GTD system alive by consistently doing C.P.R.: capturing, processing, and reviewing. If you embrace a bit of structure, have zero tolerance for holding things in your mind, and commit to capturing, processing, and reviewing, you will create mental space, be fully present with the people you love, and be get meaningful things done with minimal effort.Remember: “Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them.”

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie:

Step 1: Analyze your worry - write down your worry in precise detail with at least three courses of action. Then, decide and act.

Step 2: Eliminate your remaining worry by accepting the worst‐case scenario has come true and then asking yourself, "How can I improve upon the worst?"

Step 3: Prevent new worry from creeping into your life by living in ‘day‐tight compartments.’ Imagine each day is a new life and tell yourself, "If I do my best to take care of today, tomorrow will take care of itself."

Have a worry-free productive day!

Regards,

Nathan
