featuring Azania Drum and Soul Resonance with choreography by Zenzile Fatou

THIS THURSDAY! The first show in a FREE four part summer series presented by Old Town School's Community Ventures initiative Music Moves in partnership with the Chicago Park District. Based on Nina Simone's 1966 classic jazz composition Four Women, the project explores Simone's four women in dialogue with four feminine Orisha figures from the Afro Cuban Lucumí tradition. 

This 60 minute performance features incredible performances in drumming, dance, and even a special quartet made up of Chicago musicians created specifically for Cuatro Mujeres.

This event series is a part of Chicago Park District's Night Out in the Parks.
