Q: What are the homework assignments like?

Super-focused skill practice.

For example, in the Alignment video, I give you a 95%-completed design where you ONLY have to adjust alignment and centering issues – all the typography, color, layout stuff is already 100% done. It's a research-backed way to efficiently learn complex skills 👍

Here are a few examples of assignments:

• In the Alignment lesson, the homework is to take a design (loosely based on a design for a client's data dashboard that I did a while back) and fix all the alignment and centering issues
• In the Simplicity lesson, the homework is to redesign a Wikipedia article, but focusing on the 6 fundamental techniques for making UI cleaner/simpler that I cover in the video
• In the Choosing Body Fonts lesson, the homework is to analyze 6 fonts to determine how good of body fonts they'd be – and in what brands they'd work best. When complete, you can read my own proposed answers.

Q: If I buy the personal coaching plan, what can I use that time on?

Anything that will help you improve your design skills/career.

I've found the most productive sessions are when we're in Figma together, jamming on a design. But we can also do portfolio reviews, design critiques, etc.

Yes. All students get lifetime access.
