Dear Neighbor,

We’re looking forward to seeing you at EcoFest on Saturday, May 30th at Welles Park! This year, we are so excited to offer more hands-on craft activities.

Most activities will be happening all day and don’t require pre-registration. Only our two timed workshops require an RSVP. For those, plan to meet us at the Gazebo! Check out our full list of activities and reserve your spot:

🧲 12PM DIY Magnets (ages 10+) - RSVP

Turn old bottle caps into tiny magnetic masterpieces using colorful paper, stickers, glitter, and other reclaimed materials. Suitable for anyone 10+. Hosted by the Northern Loon Studio.

🧚 1PM DIY Fairy Houses (ages 6+) - RSVP

Let little imaginations run wild as we turn recycled materials into magical homes fit for tiny fairy friends. Suitable for anyone 6+. Hosted by MoonPerl.

🐦 DIY Bird Feeders

Create your own bird feeder by cutting out a cardboard shape of your choice and covering it with birdseed. Hosted by Pilgrim Lutheran School's Green Team.

🧵 Community Loom

Add strips of reclaimed fabric to a giant community weaving project and bring our one-of-kind tapestry to life. The final piece will be displayed in our office! Hosted by Nowhere Collective and Loom 360.

🔨 Build Your Own Gavel

Bend, saw, and whittle invasive plants to make your own wooden gavel. This one’s always a hit, and we’re so glad that it’s back! Hosted by Clark Park Advisory Council.

Best,

Maggie

P.S. Swing by the 47th Ward table to pick up your own reusable produce bag. These were hand-sewn by volunteers at Tailorbird Fabrics last week and come in all shapes, sizes and colors!
