PRODUCTIVITY |
The 10 AI habits of highly productive people |
|
Some people still think using AI is lazy. But, as the old saying goes, don’t work harder. Work smarter. And right now, there are two types of people: |
The ones who “use AI sometimes”…and the ones getting 2–3x more done every week (with time left over). |
Want to be the second type? Start here: |
1. They don’t start from scratch anymore |
They don’t wait for the “right moment.” They just…with AI. |
Try: “I need to create content for my website. Help me get started.” |
2. They batch their writing |
Once they have direction, they go all in. |
“Help me write 5 LinkedIn posts on this topic.” Or: “Help me draft this email sequence.” |
One session but multiple outputs. |
You can also use it to help repurpose one piece of content into multiple versions. |
3. They skip the instruction manual |
Instead of Googling for hours, they ask AI to explain things simply. |
“What’s wrong with my dishwasher? Explain how to fix it like I’m in 5th grade.” |
4. They use AI to plan their day |
They don’t wing it. |
They drop in everything they need to do and ask AI to organize it by priority, time, and subtasks. |
5. They turn AI into their research assistant |
Need stats or quick insights? |
Use Perplexity AI to get answers with sources. |
Fewer tabs. Better info. |
6. They prep for conversations |
Before a big call, interview, or tough convo: |
“What should I ask? What should I be ready for?” |
No need to wait for a mentor or coach. (Some people even use it as a therapist). |
7. They create once, then repurpose everything |
They don’t manually remix content. |
Turn this into: |
3 LinkedIn posts 1 email 5 short ideas
|
Boom. Done. |
8. They use AI to get unstuck (fast) |
They don’t sit on problems. “I’m stuck on this. Help me figure out what to do next.” |
9. They don’t overthink execution |
Not a designer? Doesn’t matter. |
They use tools like Claude to mock up ideas, decks, pages…whatever. |
10. They know where AI stops (and they step in) |
AI gets you ~80% there. |
Then they take over: |
Add personality Add context Make it actually good
|
They don’t over-prompt. They just know when it’s time for them to step in - HL |

Start before you’re ready → use AI to get momentum Batch your output → one session, multiple pieces Skip the learning curve → ask AI to explain it simply Plan with AI → priorities + subtasks Research faster → fewer tabs, better answers Prep before conversations → think ahead Create once, repurpose everywhere Get unstuck quickly → don’t sit on problems Don’t over-design → ship faster Know when to step in → AI gets you to ~80%, you finish it
