Build an AI brand kit once with Claude

If you've ever used AI to create graphics, presentations, PDFs, or social posts, you've probably had the same experience:

"Can you use my brand colors?"

"Actually, that's not quite my font."

"Can you make it look more like the last graphic we made?"

Over time, all those little corrections add up. 

But if you haven’t tried Claude for design in a while, it’s amazing now. One brand kit, one screenshot, bam — every asset you’ll ever need. 

Instead of starting from scratch every time, spend 10 minutes creating an AI brand kit. Once AI understands your visual identity, every future project becomes faster—and a whole lot more consistent.

What should go into your brand kit

Instead of starting your thread from scratch every time because AI just isn’t quite getting it, it’s worth it to actually start from scratch. Stop trying to get it exactly like something you made in Canva that one time, but have never been able to recreate. 

Instead, spend 10 minutes asking Claude to create an AI brand kit. You can upload examples, of course, or must-have colors. But, try to be a little open-minded.

Once AI understands your visual identity, every future project becomes faster and a whole lot more consistent. Now Claude is going off itself 

Think of this like onboarding a new designer.

Upload things like:

The more examples you provide, the better AI becomes at recognizing the patterns that make your brand yours.

Then, it can give you some examples, choose one you like most, and ask it to save it as your brand kit.

This week I needed a LinkedIn graphic for a post. In a previous thread, Claude had already created a graphic for another post. Though the font wasn’t EXACTLY how my team had been doing it historically, it was easier to start fresh. 

Instead of describing the layout, fonts, colors, and spacing all over again, I uploaded a screenshot of a graphic we'd already created together.

Claude recreated the overall look almost perfectly. It picked up on the typography, spacing, color palette, and hierarchy with very little guidance.

For the best results, upload your logo as a separate file, include your brand color hex codes, and tell AI the names of your fonts if you know them. Think of the screenshot as inspiration and the uploaded assets as the source of truth.

Let it build the whole brand 

Once you have what you like and what looks good to you, ask AI to create a permanent brand guide before you start creating new content.

For example: "Based on everything I've uploaded, create a one-page brand guide that captures my visual style, typography, color palette, layouts, and writing voice. Use this as our default reference whenever we create graphics, presentations, newsletters, PDFs, or social posts together."

Once it's finished, every future prompt can simply start with: "Using our brand guide, create..."

No more re-explaining your preferences every single time.
