GIR exclusive interviews with senior European enforcement officials

Hi GIR,

In a series of exclusive interviews with senior enforcement officials, GIR recently spoke to officials in Sweden and Norway. Carl Asterious, public prosecutor at Swedish Economic Crime Authority (EBM), offered his thoughts on how prosecutions can be improved under the Swedish criminal justice system, saving time and resources in the process.

GIR also conducted the first international interview with Rozemarijn van der Hilst, the legal director of Norway’s new Directorate for Export Control and Sanctions (Deksa). She discussed the aims of the newly launched Deksa, including ensuring better compliance with sanction laws, increasing predictability for companies, and speeding up case handling to implement sanctions more efficiently.
