This beginner-friendly workshop at the Innovation Station covers how to design and make custom hats using a Cricut machine and Cricut Design Space. No experience is required, and all materials are provided. Open to ages 18 and up.

Butter Chicken Brass Band performs a mix of South Asian baraat music, jazz, funk, and New Orleans-inspired styles as part of Evanston's Starlight Concerts series. The concert is presented outdoors and food from Sera Roman Pizza will be available on site.

Yarn & Beyond is a drop-in fiber arts club at the Innovation Station for teens and adults, where participants work on their own projects and connect with other makers. Some prior experience is encouraged, and basic materials are available, though participants should bring their own work in progress.

This beginner-friendly Chinese Mahjong tournament runs multiple rounds until one player claims the title of Mahjong Night Champion. Prizes are awarded to the winner, and all participants receive a small gift. Registration is required.

Feel Great Personal Training & Wellness leads an outdoor movement session focused on posture, spine alignment, and joint relief. No equipment is needed, and the class is open to all fitness levels. Attendees should bring a mat and a lawn chair if they have one.

Curiosity Cafe is a monthly drop-in conversation series at the Evanston History Center held over coffee and lunch. June's topic explores queer history in Evanston, including the stories of the founders of Kinheart Inc. and the founding of Evanston Pride. No RSVP is needed, and attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch.

Anime Club for adults meets at the Innovation Station to watch anime, play games, make crafts, and snack on Japanese treats. For ages 18 and up.

Ho-Chunk storyteller and comics artist Jim Terry, whose work spans Marvel to Heavy Metal, gives an artist talk at the Gichigamiin Indigenous Nations Museum as part of the exhibition Living Stories: Contemporary Woodland Native American Art. A guided tour of the exhibition precedes the discussion.

The Process Studio: Summer Drop-In Creative SessionsTime: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Mondays and Wednesdays Cost: $39.19 Location: The AUX Wellness Collective
This eight-week summer drop-in art studio is open to all ages, with Monday sessions focused on painting and drawing and Wednesday sessions focused on sculpture and collage. Materials and light snacks are provided, and participants can register for a single session or multiple dates.

Challenge, a filmmaking competition open to Evanston residents and D65 students, though participants do not need to be signed up for the challenge to attend.

This community bike ride follows the proposed Lincoln-Harrison Greenway route, with a post-ride meetup to discuss next steps for making the greenway a reality. All ages and abilities are welcome.

This Juneteenth event begins with a 2.5-mile lakefront walk led by Grand Marshal Dione Sims, granddaughter of Opal Lee, known as the "Grandmother of Juneteenth." Following the walk, the Youthful Juneteenth Celebration features music, dancing, cultural performances, and local food and artisan vendors. The day concludes with a community gathering that honors the history and legacy of Juneteenth.

YWCA Evanston/North Shore hosts this annual 5K and 10K run/walk honoring Ricky Byrdsong. The event also includes youth races, a half-mile fun run, and community activities throughout the morning.
