Your Weekend Roundup is Here 📬

Happy almost weekend everyone. Before we get to the events, we wanted to share some food news with you, easily our favorite kind of news.

2026 is shaping up to be a strong year for restaurant openings. The team behind 17, an upcoming plant based restaurant, reached out to share a preview of their menu, Burl continues to be one of the most anticipated openings in town and was recently featured in Eater Chicago’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2026, and we also just spotted a RoundTable article about a new downtown Evanston restaurant in the works from James Beard Award-winning chefs.

We are always happy to spread the word, so feel free to reach out anytime to share news like this with us.
