The Gichigamiin Indigenous Nations Museum offers free admission all day, along with a pop-up market featuring local Indigenous artists. Visitors can explore exhibits and shop from a rotating group of makers. 
Candlelight YogaTime: 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM Cost: $14.00 Residents/$18.00 Non-Residents Location: Robert Crown Community Center
This gentle yoga class uses candlelight to create a calming atmosphere. Participants move through stretches and poses designed to ease tension and quiet the mind.

The event offers a chance to swap cookbooks and puzzles or simply pick up new ones. Attendees are welcome to donate items in advance at the second-floor desk of the Main Library.

This trivia night challenges participants on romance novel plots, characters, and couples, from classic meet-cutes to fantasy pairings. Open to ages 18 and older. 
Donovan's Garage: A String ThingTime: 7:00 PM Cost: Free Location: Donovan's Garage - Alley behind 1135 Cleveland St
Jazz guitarist Donovan Mixon hosts an outdoor alley performance featuring two guitars, bass, and percussion. The quartet performs in Mixonβs garage studio, with audience seating in the alley.

Participants will create an eco-friendly mosaic nightlight using colorful plastic pieces and wood shapes, then add fairy lights. All materials are provided, and the ticket includes one free drink.

The Peckish Pig hosts a live flamenco performance on the patio featuring Spanish guitar and dance. Dinner purchase is required for table seating.

Sip Society leads a latte art workshop covering milk steaming, basic pouring, and advanced designs. Participants will learn step-by-step techniques to create their own drinks.

Northwestern hosts a free outdoor screening of Lilo & Stitch (2025) with gates opening at 5:00 PM and the movie at 6:00 PM. The evening includes a raffle with sports tickets and other prizes, plus complimentary snacks while supplies last. In case of bad weather, the event will move to Ryan Fieldhouse. 
Downtown Summer Sounds with WolfmanTime: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Cost: Free Location: Fountain Square
Wolfman performs a blend of garage rock, surf rock, and ghostly good vibes as part of the Downtown Summer Sounds series. Free kids' activities available, presented in partnership with Ridgeville Park District.

This five-day program guides 4th and 5th graders through designing a tabletop game in teams. Sessions include game analysis, structured design time, and collaborative play. Participants who complete the full week receive a kit of game-making supplies.

Misericordia day residents bring their reading skills to Evanston Public Library for this half-hour all-abilities storytime. Toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers will enjoy picture books read to them by a small group of kind adults with disabilities who enjoy reading to kids. 
Crown Outdoor StorytimeTime: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM Cost: Free Location: Robert Crown Branch Library
This outdoor storytime features 30 minutes of stories and songs, followed by playtime with water tables, chalk, and toys.

This story time features board books for toddlers and stories for kids up to second grade, all written by Native authors. Sessions also include music, movement, and a gallery activity connected to the book. 
Little Builders: Books and Block PlayTime: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM Cost: Free Location: Evanston Public Library Main Branch
Children hear builder-themed stories and songs, then explore blocks, trucks, and building toys during open play. Activities support early STEM learning and active play.

Families are invited to enjoy storytime in pajamas with songs, stories, and books geared toward PreK through Grade 2.
