Hello Market Friends,

The 2026 Lincoln Square Farmers Market season is officially underway and what a start it was! It felt so good to be back together, welcoming both familiar faces and plenty of new customers to the market. Between our first two market days, we saw well over 3,000 visitors come through, rain and shine!

Spring is definitely showing up at the market tables. We saw asparagus galore, beautiful spring onions, tender greens, and plenty of plants ready for the season ahead from landscaping flowers to vegetable and herb starts for home gardens.

We were also excited to welcome new vendors into the market community this season, adding even more local flavor and variety to the lineup.



The market is just getting started, and we can already tell it’s going to be a good one. See you out there! 🌱🥬🌦️

Recipe Box: Asparagus Everywhere!

The market tables are overflowing with asparagus right now—and we are fully embracing it. One of spring’s true stars, asparagus is incredibly versatile: shave it raw into salads, toss it on the grill, roast it until caramelized, or even pickle it to stretch the season a little longer.

This week’s Recipe Box leans into simple spring flavors with these Asparagus Ricotta Toasts with Crispy Prosciutto. Creamy ricotta, crisp asparagus, and salty prosciutto come together for a recipe that feels equally perfect for brunch, lunch, or an easy spring dinner.

Grab a bunch (or three) at the market this week and celebrate asparagus season while it’s at its peak!

Shopping with LINK/SNAP at the Lincoln Square Farmers Market is easy. When you’re ready to purchase from a participating vendor, let them know you’ll be paying with your LINK/SNAP card. The vendor will give you a receipt for the items you’d like to buy. Bring that receipt to the LSRCC LINK/SNAP tent, where we’ll process your payment and mark the receipt as paid. Then simply return the paid receipt to the vendor to receive your items. If you’d like a copy of your transaction, we can send a receipt by text or email (paper receipts are not available).
