Hello Market Friends,

September has arrived, but don’t be fooled summer isn’t ready to leave just yet!

The market is still overflowing with the bounty we’ve been enjoying all season: juicy tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, melons, berries, summer squash, beans, herbs, and more.

There are still plenty of warm-weather flavors to fill your market bag and your table.

And this Thursday, The Chopping Block is back with another cooking demo! Come see what they’re cooking up with fresh, seasonal ingredients from the market and pick up some inspiration for your own kitchen.

Fall favorites will be here soon enough. For now, let’s enjoy every last bit of summer.

Come shop, eat, explore, and savor the season while it lasts!

See you at the market!

There’s a special Lincoln Square connection: some of the cookbook’s photos were taken right here at the Lincoln Square Farmers Market!

Recipe Box: Summer Abundance

Summer is showing off at the market, and we’re leaning all the way in! Let's celebrate the season’s colorful bounty with two fresh, flavorful recipes.

First up: a huge summer salad loaded with lentils, charred zucchini and corn, crispy halloumi, and plenty of fresh herbs, all tossed in a garlicky confit dressing.

It’s hearty enough to be a meal and packed with everything we love about summer produce.

Then, a sweet-savory stone fruit and tomato salad with granola, juicy peaches, nectarines, or plums paired with peak-season tomatoes and crunchy granola for an unexpected finish.

Simple, vibrant, and full of market-fresh goodness, these recipes are made for celebrating the abundance of summer.

And don’t forget if you have a favorite seasonal recipe you’d like to share, send it to farmersmarket@lincolnsquare.org.

Your recipe might be featured in an upcoming Recipe Box!
