And on Thursday, June 11,The Chopping Block will be hosting a special farmers market class. You'll accompany their chef on a guided tour of our market, shop fresh produce, and then return to the TCB kitchen where the chef will demonstrate how to transform peak-season ingredients into a dish you can create at home! Lincoln Square's favorite summer tradition is back! The Summer Concert Series kicks off Thursday, June 11, with a performance by Los Perros Cubanos in Giddings Plaza. Bring a chair, grab takeout from a local restaurant, and enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of the neighborhood. Local Events

Kick off summer with Rockwell's Neighborhood Grill's annual Summer Block Party this Saturday, June 6, noon-8pm! Enjoy delicious food from local vendors and live music throughout the day. Plus, don't miss the return of the crowd-favorite Old Fashioned Competition, where participants will compete for the title of best Old Fashioned. Gather your friends and neighbors for an afternoon of food, music, and community fun.


Enjoy an evening of art, beer, and live demonstrations at Dovetail Brewery on Friday, June 5, from 6–8pm. Chicago printmaker Jen Farrell of Star Shaped Press will debut a new taproom exhibition, with prints available for purchase and a live printmaking demonstration. Guests can also enjoy focaccia bites from Limoni Belli, welcome schnitts from Dovetail, and more during this First Friday-style gallery event presented in partnership with Midwest Nice.

This new shop is bringing family-friendly cargo bikes, expert guidance, and a passion for car-free transportation to the neighborhood. Come by Ainslie Arts Plaza this Sunday, June 7. We'll be there doing check in for The Great Bake Walk, but even better, Ceramic Coffee Roasters will be on site serving up cold brew, espresso drinks, and more for folks attending the event and also for those of you out and about on a Sunday morning in the neighborhood.


This summer, create lasting memories while supporting public art in our community. jookie, a portrait boutique's Mural, Mural on the Wall sessions invite families of all shapes and sizes, including couples, kids, and even furry family members, to be photographed in front of some of the neighborhood's vibrant outdoor murals. A portion of every session will go to Art Encounter to support community arts programming and outreach. Sessions are available throughout June, July, August, and September.
