Muneer,
From humble beginnings as a small law office in Montgomery, Alabama, to becoming a national leader in the march for equity and liberation, the Southern Poverty Law Center has spent decades confronting hate and defending civil rights.
Because of supporters like you, we have:
Dismantled key remnants of Jim Crow segregation through legal action.
Challenged anti-voter laws designed to weaken Black and Brown voting power across the Deep South.
Shut down some of the nation’s most violent white supremacist groups and defended the civil rights of children, women, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people and others facing discrimination, abuse or exploitation.
Mobilized to protect vulnerable communities across the Deep South that have been targeted by hate and discrimination.
Today, we continue to confront hate, stand up against attacks on our democracy and demand a more just and inclusive future for all.
📣 We won’t stop — because our work for justice, dignity and equity is far from over, and neither is our commitment to seeing it through. 📣
Muneer: This moment calls for us to continue to face the injustices head on.
