States file lawsuit over Trump administration withholding disaster relief for resisting election changes

• A group of 25 states and Washington, D.C. filed a lawsuit today against the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Homeland Security for leveraging federal disaster grant funding in an attempt to “coerce” them into implementing election reforms.
  
  
• In their complaint, the states said the Trump administration wants to impose “radical new conditions” and had “unlawful demands.”
