Lunar New Year Parade & Celebration February 21st

Join Uptown United and the local business, non-profit, and cultural organizations as we continue the annual tradition going back 40+ years of celebrating the Lunar New Year along the Argyle Commercial corridor in Uptown! To welcome the Year of the Horse, we'll be hosting the Lunar New Year Parade on Saturday, February 21st (kick-off at 1:00pm sharp at Argyle & Sheridan) featuring 20+ local community groups, cultural institutions, dancers and performers! In addition, a number of local organizations are planning pop-ups with family-friendly activities between 10:30am-4:00pm.

Build Your Team for Sarah's Circle's 34th Annual Winter Walk: A Mile in Her Shoes

Sunday, March 8th | 1-3pm

Sarah's Circle's 34th annual Winter Walk: A Mile in Her Shoes highlights the harsh reality of women's homelessness during the deadly cold of Chicago's winters. Your support can make the difference between a woman struggling to survive alone on the street and a woman who is safe and warm in her own bed. Funds raised through Winter Walk are critical in meeting the demand of Sarah's Circle's services. Winter Walk is on March 8th, International Women's Day, making it a great opportunity to celebrate and support women!

Buena Park Neighbors is hosting a Winter Blood Drive on January 29th and 30th. Help fill the need by signing up to donate - as a bonus, you'll receive a $20 e-gift card! Please sign up in advance and bring an ID.

Uptown Greeting Cards for Sale

Sandy Suminski is an Uptown resident-artist that has created an Uptown greeting card that is currently for sale at Aquarius, Terrace, and Uptown Lounge. Profits from the sale of each card will go to support programs at Cornerstone Community Outreach!

Seeking Donations for Apna Ghar

Help support Apna Ghar's vision of empowering survivors, engaging communities, and elevating the issue of gender violence to realize gender justice.

Donations can be dropped at the Uptown Chamber of Commerce and Uptown United office at 4619 N Broadway on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am-5pm until February 12th..
