Kid-Focused Activity: StudioUs

Each week, the Argyle Night Market will have a FREE dedicated kids booth with kid-friendly activities. This week's activity is presented by StudioUs, a local art studio that offers year-round, weekly fine art classes for students age 4 and up.

Uptown Beer Booth

Stop by the weekly beer garden at the eastern end of the market for a cool beverage! All proceeds support Uptown United’s efforts to produce the annual night market. Big thanks to Foremost Liquors for their support!

The Chicago Drum Festival is a multi-cultural arts program showcasing drumming traditions from around the world. This collaborative performance strives to expand the awareness and appreciation of diverse musical traditions that exist beyond Western music.

Programs: (1) Korean drumming by KPAC, (2) Brazilian music by Chicago Samba, (3) African drumming by Ayodele Drum & Dance, (4) Japanese Taiko by Tsukasa Taiko, and (5) Jam by all musicians.

Performance times subject to change.

Poems While You Wait

A collective of poets & their manual typewriters whose mission is to appear around the city in public places - street festivals, museums, libraries, theaters, & events - to provide their patrons with a magical, unexpected, unpretentious, & decontextualized encounter with poetry. No requested topic is too big or too small, too funny or too sad, too silly or too serious.

$10 donation per poem - special offer: the first 10 visitors to stop by will receive their poems for free!
