| Most wireless earbuds are designed for commuting, working out, or taking calls. Sleeping in them is kind of an afterthought. | SomniPods 3 take the opposite approach. | They’re 9.9mm thin, weigh 3.3g each, and are shaped to sit more comfortably when your ear is against a pillow. They also combine Hybrid ANC, passive isolation, and sound masking to help with the kind of noise that suddenly feels very loud at 2 a.m. | It’s one of those products that makes more sense once you realize how oddly specific the problem is. | If you already sleep with earbuds, or have tried and hated it, SomniPods 3 are probably much closer to what you were looking for. | See SomniPods 3 | *This is sponsored |

| | | | | | THROUGH THE VALLEY | | 1/ Qwen just got a seriously capable uncensored version - independent teams including OrcaRouter and AEON-7 used a technique called “abliteration” to remove much of Alibaba’s Qwen3.8-27B’s refusal behavior without stripping away its core intelligence. It’s not an official Alibaba release, but a community modification that keeps the original model’s coding, agentic, vision, reasoning, and 262K-token context capabilities, while being small enough to run locally on consumer hardware. (watch the demo) | The wild part is that this isn’t a tiny jailbreak model... Qwen3.8-27B is a 27B open-weight model with capabilities that can compete with much larger systems, and the uncensored versions can run directly on Apple Silicon Macs or consumer GPUs. The model also retains its thinking mode, so users can control how much reasoning it does before answering. | And this is where things get controversial... researchers and red-teamers can use it for security testing without cloud-based safety filters getting in the way, but the same capabilities can also be used for harmful or illegal requests. | 2/ Slack launched Slack Code - it gives teams dedicated channels where humans and AI agents can build software together. Tag Claude, ChatGPT, Devin or Copilot and it spins up a code channel with the plan, conversation, diffs and live preview all in one place. Slack Code is free on every plan, though the agents themselves are separately paid. (learn more here) | Slack is becoming the new agent workspace... The interesting bit is that everyone can watch the agent work, review its diffs, give feedback and approve changes before they ship. Anyone can also pause or redirect an agent, while production merges require human sign-off. So it’s more like “your whole team builds with AI in the same room.” | And coding probably isn’t the end game. Slack says the same infrastructure could eventually let custom agents handle things like marketing campaigns, legal reviews and other workflows. | 3/ Anthropic wants to beat SpaceX’s IPO record - the Claude maker is reportedly preparing to match or top SpaceX’s record $75B IPO, with a public filing potentially coming by the end of this month. SpaceX’s IPO raised a record $86.2 billion, which means Anthropic could raise close to $100 billion. Anthropic was valued at $965B in its latest funding round, and its revenue is absolutely flying: Q2 revenue topped $11.5B, up from just $787M a year earlier. | The spending is wild too... Anthropic reportedly lost almost $42B in 2025, roughly 5x more than the year before. | Anthropic could also beat OpenAI to the public markets... both companies have confidentially filed, but OpenAI is reportedly looking at 2027. If Anthropic actually pulls off a $75B+ IPO, it would instantly become one of the biggest IPOs ever and push 2026 toward becoming the biggest year for US IPOs on record. Anthropic is expected to IPO by the end of 2026. |
