Ever wondered about the history of Andersonville? Join Chicago for Chicagoans for a free walking tour of the neighborhood. Led by Leyla Royale the tour will explore Andersonville’s Swedish roots, LGBTQIA+ history, and the many stories that have shaped the neighborhood into what it is today. Reserve your free ticket and learn something new about Andersonville.
Don't forget to scoop up your tickets for the Andersonville Fall Wine Walk from 2-5PM. Wine Walk check-in is conveniently located at the Vintage Market.

| Get a free portrait drawn during Andersonville Arts Weekend! Chicago-based illustrator, artist, and educator Sumie Song will be stationed at the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce office at 5706 N Clark throughout Arts Weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, creating hand-drawn portraits for visitors. Each portrait takes approximately 10–15 minutes and makes a special keepsake from the weekend. Bring your friends, family, or come solo. Advance registration is encouraged! |

| Get ready for the return of Punkin’. Starting October 1, Punkin’ will be hiding throughout the Andersonville district for our annual Punkin’ Scavenger Hunt.
Track him down at participating businesses, collect the letters along the way, and unscramble them to solve the puzzle. Here’s a hint: it’s the best treat you can get while trick-or-treating.
Pick up a scavenger hunt postcard at the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce office, 5706 N Clark, or at participating businesses throughout the district. The hunt runs throughout October, and completed puzzles can be returned to the Chamber office or emailed to info@andersonville.org. |

REELING FILM FESTIVAL There’s still time to catch Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival before it wraps up this Sunday, September 27. Now in its 44th year, Reeling is the second-longest-running LGBTQ+ film festival in the world and this year’s program features more than 40 feature films and 50 shorts from filmmakers around the globe. Screenings continue throughout the weekend at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema, the Music Box Theatre, and Chicago Filmmakers. Browse the remaining lineup, grab a ticket, and spend part of your Arts Weekend celebrating queer storytelling on the big screen.
BONNIE'S LAST FLIGHT AT RIVENDELL Now through October 25, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble presents Bonnie’s Last Flight, written by Eliza Bent and directed by RTE Member Devon De Mayo. Set aboard a retirement flight, the play follows a flight crew navigating complicated relationships, dark pasts, and the possibilities that come with new beginnings. This Saturday, September 26, audiences at the 4PM performance can stay afterward for a special talkback with Maggie Andersen, author of the debut memoir No Stars in Jefferson Park. The talkback offers audiences a chance to continue the conversation after the performance and hear from another Chicago writer whose work explores personal stories and lived experience.
APOTHECARY EO x APOTHECARY LOUNGE Skincare meets cocktail hour on Wednesday, September 30, when Apothecary EO takes its SKIN LAB experience to Apothecary Lounge at 3242 N Clark. Beginning at 6PM, this hands-on workshop will walk participants through the steps of an at home facial, including proper cleansing, exfoliation, and creating a custom face mask using clean ingredients. Apothecary EO’s clean beauty experts will guide the experience while Apothecary Lounge provides drink pairings throughout the evening. All materials are provided, and participants will leave with the skincare goodies they create along with the knowledge to build a better at-home routine. The workshop is $30 and space is limited.
