STOP THROWING GLASS IN THE TRASH Glass can be recycled infinitely, yet only about 33% of glass waste in the U.S. is actually recycled, with nearly 8 million tons ending up in landfills each year. It doesn’t have to be that way. WasteNot makes it easy to give your glass a second life with convenient glass-only recycling buckets. They accept bottles with labels still attached and even candle jars with leftover wax. Order a one-time bucket or subscribe through the WasteNot Shop and keep your glass out of the trash for good.

Always Andersonville The Podcast Episode 192: The Story of Chicago Friends School with Karen Carney
On this episode of Always Andersonville the Podcast, we are joined by Karen Carney, Head of School at Chicago Friends School, along with students Violet and Imogen.
Chicago Friends School, located at 1315 W Berwyn, is a K–8 independent school grounded in Quaker values: simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equity, and stewardship. Those aren’t just words on a wall. They shape how students learn, how teachers teach, and how the entire community shows up for one another. In a supportive and intentionally diverse environment, students are nurtured to reach their full academic, creative, and spiritual potential. Curiosity is encouraged. Voices are respected. Character is built alongside strong critical thinking skills.
