Dear Friend of Andersonville,

June was a big month in Andersonville. Between celebrating Pride Month and welcoming thousands of neighbors and visitors to Midsommarfest, our community came together in all the best ways. As we head into July, the momentum continues with outdoor markets, summer events, and exciting collaborations throughout the neighborhood.

We are especially thrilled to see several Andersonville businesses participating in this year's with the Art Institute of Chicago. Be sure to stop by , , , and the Andersonville Chamber to see the creative window installations. After you've explored them all, don't forget to cast your for your favorite!

Thelaunches on Sunday, July 12 from 11AM-5PM. Please note that we are moving to a new location at Ashland and Catalpa in the St. Gregory's Parking Lot. . We are looking for musicians to perform. If you can play acoustically or have your own amp, and we will be in touch.

Get ready to yell, "BINGO!" at Bingofesten, a fundraiser hosted by the Andersonville Sustainable Community Alliance, on Tuesday, July 14, at Bramble Arts Loft. Doors open at 6PM for shopping, with bingo running from 7- 8:30PM.

Before the games begin, browse a pop-up market featuring crystals, gemstones, jewelry, candles, and tarot from On the Rocks Jewelry and Pharaoh & Tarot. Then grab a drink from the full bar, play five rounds of classic bingo, and compete for prizes from local businesses. Turn your Farmers Market haul into something delicious! Join Aville Grows for a hands-on Refrigerator Pickles DIY Workshop on Wednesday, July 29, from 3-7PM at the Andersonville Farmers Market. Learn how to make quick, flavorful refrigerator pickles using fresh produce from the market. Brine, spices, recipes, guidance, and plenty of pickling inspiration will be provided. A $5 suggested donation helps support the workshop. It's a fun and easy way to preserve the flavors of the season! We are collecting glass jars no bigger than a pasta sauce jar for this event. Please feel free to bring them by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce office M-F from 10AM-4PM.

WOMEN & CHILDREN FIRST MEMBER SALE
is celebrating its annual Member Sale with 20% off all in-store and online purchases from June 29 through July 12. Members receive year-round savings, exclusive discounts during the annual sale, a birthday coupon, and helps the bookstore continue paying staff a living wage. Those interested in becoming a member can sign up in-store or. Women & Children First is also welcoming acclaimed poet Fatimah Asghar to celebrate the release of  on Monday, July 7, at 7PM. Joined by Eve L. Ewing and Jamila Woods, Asghar will explore her powerful new poetry collection, which examines faith, family, identity, and belonging. The event will take place at , 2317 W 18th Street.

A LITTLE FOLK GET TOGETHER
Who doesn't like vinyl, vintage, and very small ceramics? Drop by on July 12 from 12-2PM for an afternoon of delicious coffee. You can shop their new vintage arrivals and unbox a small ceramics mystery box, all while listening to a live vinyl DJ set by DJ Tromblau. 

SEXUALITY WORKSHOPS
Explore sexuality, connection, and self-discovery with two educational workshops at . On Wednesday, July 15, Give & Take: Introduction to Impact Play with Priestess Jenna, offers a beginner-friendly, hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of consensual impact play. Then on Thursday, July 16, Permission to Feel Good: Healing Sexual Pain & Shame with Rowan Tree Chicago and Groove PH Wellness explores healing, pleasure, and body acceptance in a supportive environment. Both workshops take place from 7:30-9:30PM. You must be 18+ to attend.

TAROT STUDY GROUP
Whether you're brand new to tarot or have been reading for years, Tarot Study Group returns to on Saturday, July 18, from 11AM-1PM. Hosted by , this cozy, small-group gathering invites participants to bring their tarot deck and questions for two hours of guided practice, card pulls, and collaborative learning. All experience levels are welcome. The cost is $40. Reserve a spot by paying in person at Eli Tea Bar or by emailing natalieisyourpsychic@gmail.com.
