Show your Andersonville pride! Join the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce as we march in the 55th Annual Chicago Pride Parade this Sunday, June 28. The parade steps off at 11AM, and we would love to have neighbors, businesses, friends, and community members walk alongside us. Sign up to march with us here.
Celebrate Pride weekend at Back Lot Bash, returning for its 22nd annual event on June 27-28 from 4-10PM in the Cheetah Gym parking lot. One of Chicago's signature Pride celebrations, Back Lot Bash features live entertainment, DJs, dancing, and drinks. Gather your friends and close out Pride weekend with two nights of music, community, and celebration. Tickets are available online.
Mark your calendars! Support the Andersonville Sustainable Community Alliance (ASCA) at a sweet fundraiser at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams on Thursday, July 23. While you're counting down, stop by Jeni's to try their brand-new summer flavors, available beginning June 25: Campfire S'mores, Hibiscus Chili Punch Sorbet, and the returning fan favorite, Strawberry Pretzel Pie. Treat yourself now, then come back next month to enjoy a scoop while supporting ASCA.

FESTIVAL OF UNFINISHED WORK The Bramble Arts Loft is celebrating their fifth annual Festival of Unfinished Work. This event f eatures six short scenes from original full length plays which are currently in process written by Chicago based playwrights. Audience members will have the chance to vote on pieces they are most interested in seeing developed. The festival runs June 25-28, Thursday through Sunday. Make an impact on which pieces will be given a workshop and public stage and get tickets here.
BAGEL SHOP Our favorite Bubbie, Merriam Levkowitz, and Zeitlin’s Delicatessen made a music video! Bagel Shop dropped on June 23, and we can not wait to spread some of this drag bubbie bagel joy with everyone. Blending Chicago’s Jewish deli culture with drag excellence, Bagel Shop is a hilarious Pride parody of 50 Cent’s Candy Shop. Help Bagel Shop go viral and check it out here on YouTube!
LEGISLATIVE TOWN HALL Stay informed on what's happening in Springfield and here at home. Join State Senator Mike Simmons for a Summer 2026 Legislative Recap Town Hall tomorrow Thursday, June 25, from 5-6:30PM at Is/Was Brewing. The evening will cover major legislative accomplishments, including the ban on rental junk fees, LGBTQ+ rights protections, reproductive rights, housing initiatives, and more. Attendees will also receive community updates, learn about upcoming summer events, and get information on SNAP and Medicaid work requirement reminders and available assistance.
