| The Swedish American Museum has a new look! |
| The Swedish American Museum has a brand new logo for their 50th Anniversary this year! They have also unveiled an amazing lineup of upcoming events! Head over to the Museum for a craft and a reading of the children’s book The grand expedition by Emma Adbåge. The event will take place on both Thursday, May 28 at 2PM and on Friday, May 29 at 11AM. Come back Friday night for the Museum Late Night! The store and gallery on the first floor of the Museum will be open until 7PM with a selection of items from their extended collection in the main gallery for the evening. Book your spot to guarantee a seat for dinner during Late Night. |

SINGLE & COOKING BOOK 2 Local author David Jay Collins will release the second Single & Cooking novel at Midsommarfest on June 12! This two-book series (in the genre of LGBTQ+ romance over 50) has been called gentle, heartfelt, and romantic. Single & Cooking is about a popular professor who discovers new possibilities with love and career while on summer sabbatical in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Pick up your signed copy at David's tent (located between Berwyn and Summerdale) at Midsommarfest. The covers of both novels were painted by Andersonville artist Adam Thomas.
SUMMER CAMPS School is almost over! Oh no, what will the kiddos do now? School of Rock Andersonville is turning up the volume this summer with a lineup of music camps for young musicians of all skill levels. From rock band performance camps to genre-focused experiences and beginner programs, campers will have the opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, and perform music they love in a fun and supportive environment. Enrollment is now open and limited spots are available.
Chicago Waldorf School Summer Camp starts June 15. Their Early Childhood and Grade School summer camps invite children into a season filled with outdoor fun, creative discovery, and the simple magic of being a child. Choose from full-day (8:30AM–3:30PM) or half-day (8:30AM–12:30PM) options, with flexible weekly sessions designed to fit your family’s summer rhythm. |
