Glenwood Sunday Market Is Back!


When: Sundays from June 1 - Oct 26 from 9am - 2pm

Where: 6956 N. Glenwood Ave.


We loved seeing so many friendly faces (2600!) and fresh tote bags at the market last week — thank you for kicking off season 16 with us in such a big way!


We’re back again this Sunday with your favorite farms, food artisans, and all your market favorites.


Come shop, snack, and soak up the season — we’ll be there and we hope you will too!

We have created two public alfresco spaces available for community use. An outdoor alfresco space provides the perfect setting for any event, offering a relaxed, open-air atmosphere that enhances the experience for all.


Submit request at least 2 weeks in advance.

Picnic Wine & Provisions Events

Wine Tasting: Thurs, June 5 5pm

Join Picnic Wine every Thursday for wine tasting! $5 for four pours. That fee is waived with an onsite purchase.


Picnic After Dark: Live Music This Friday: Fri, June 6 6pm

Spend the evening listening to soulful music with singer-songwriter Daniel Connolly. Daniel’s music blends heartfelt lyrics with evocative melodies and creates a space where shared stories and emotions come alive. 


Wine & Words: An Evening of Storytelling: Sun, June 8 5pm

You’re invited to a special night of stories, community, and connection. Listen as talented storytellers from Rogers Park and Edgewater share personal narratives that are heartfelt, humorous, and deeply human.

Chicago Tap Presents: For All We Know

For All We Know is the final production of Chicago Tap Theatre’s 2024–25 season—a celebration of rhythm, music, movement, and love.



Directed and choreographed by CTT Artistic Associate Sterling Harris, with original live music by Emma Blau, this one-of-a-kind performance reimagines tap dance as a bold act of connection and expression. Inspired by bell hooks’ transformative book all about love, the show explores how love can be a force for healing, joy, and justice.


Whether you’re a lifelong tap fan or completely new to the form, this show was made for you.

Tesla Training Center Career Fair

Rosehill Cemetery Walk IS Back


When: Sat, June 7

Where: Tour begins at Rosehill East Entry Gate, 5800 N. Ravenswood Ave.


For the first time since 2021, join neighborhood historian Glenna Eaves on a tour that reveals the early story of the community. Visit the graves and monuments of men and women who helped make the neighborhood what it is today.


Farmers, soldiers, business owners, artists and a host of others from Rogers Park, West Ridge and neighboring areas like Evanston all played a role in our history. Glenna will tell the stories of famous and lesser-known local residents whose vision, enterprise and dedication shaped the history and the present nature of the vibrant community we live in.

Synapse Arts New Works 2025 Program

Synapse Arts New Works program has supported independent and underrepresented dance makers, allowing them to collaborate with experienced mentors to hone their creative and production skills as they create new dance-based works.

Pokemon & Pride Trans Youth Resource Fair

The Office of State Representative Kelly Cassidy is partnering with the West Ridge Community Response Team to host Pokémon & Pride: Trans Youth Resource Fair.


They are encouraging friends and family to come out and show your support for the Trans youth in your life! Their will be local elected officials and some amazing organizations on hand to offer resources, plus they will be giving away sets of Pokémon Trading Cards!

Welcome Home: Access and Inclusion Resource Fair


When: Wed, June 25 1pm

Where: Central West Community Center, 2102 W. Ogden Ave.


In collaboration with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and the Cook County Assessor's Office, the DOH Community Engagement and Racial Equity team is hosting “Welcome Home”, an Access and Inclusion Resource Fair to connect people with disabilities and older adults to accessible housing resources and disability advocates.


There will be a community resource fair, as well as a presentation on protections for renters with disabilities facilitated by the Center of Disability and Elder Law and a workshop on senior and disability property tax exemptions facilitated by the Assessor's Office.

Culture of Safety Summer Camps

They also have availability for their Friday June 14th No School Day Camp! 


Culture of Safety offers fun, affordable, neurodivergent-affirming, and trans/genderqueer-affirming camps and no-school day camps at sliding scale fees. Reduced rate is limited.

The Factory Theater Presents: The Curious Circumstances of Louis Le Prince

24th District Beat & Council Meetings

In the 49th Ward, the 24th District patrols nine Beats. Each patrol Beat in the Chicago Police Department hosts monthly or bi-monthly community Beat meetings. The primary purpose of the Beat community meetings is to allow Beat residents, other community stakeholders and police to discuss chronic problems on the Beat and to engage in problem-solving. Beat community meetings provide an opportunity for police and community residents to exchange information about conditions in the neighborhood.
