36th Annual Family Matters Walk A Thon

Harvest Fest At Indian Boundary Park

At the Chicago Park District’s Pumpkin Patches and Harvest Fests everyone will enjoy a fun-fill day. Free candy provided by MARS.

This year you will purchase your pumpkin directly from Clover. There will be a variety of sizes and colors, ranging in price from $2 to $15. Plus, they will have Fall Mums & Flowers and Corn Ears for purchase. Cash and Card accepted by Clover.

39th Historic House Walk

Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society is back with their 39th Historic House Walk. This walk features homes that reflect the experimental spirit of the turn of the 20th Century, in a neighborhood you'll want to explore.

Creative architects and engineers who broke centuries-old architectural norms made Chicago the innovative leader of the skyscraper age.

In the neighborhoods, prosperous residents who spent workdays in modern new buildings sought similarly innovative houses. The homes of Armstrong Circle are a living tribute to the architectural creativity of the period.

Tickets are $25 for members, $30 for non members.

Chicago Wheel Weekend 2025

The USA Wheel Gymnastics Team is hosting Wheel Weekend Oct 17-19 with Gym Wheel and Cyr Wheel workshops and performances led by top coaches from around the world. Students aged 13+ with any level of experience are welcome to participate in one or multiple workshops throughout the weekend, like wheel spirals, spins, dismounts, hangs and more. Factory Theater Presents: The Sporting Life

16-year-old Dot still hasn’t gotten her period. Lucky for her, there’s a Witch in the woods who can get it started. However, in exchange, Dot must offer her the life of a man who has wronged her. And who better to offer than a math teacher? When Dot gets her elusive first period and becomes witness to the Witch’s murder, they become bonded in literal blood, sending Dot down a path of self-understanding, bitterness, and perhaps a little bit of violence too (as a treat). The Sporting Life is a ‘this girl is a woman now’ story brutally snapped open to expose the, sometimes literal, entrails of growing up girl.

In the pursuit of joy, does method matter? Two siblings–opposites and estranged–take one last shot at putting grief behind them to create the joy they both seek. A world premiere original play by Chicago playwright Kimberly Dixon-Mays, Rabbits in Their Pockets began in Lifeline’s 2024 BIPOC Developmental Workshop.
