We have created two public alfresco spaces available for community use. An outdoor alfresco space provides the perfect setting for any event, offering a relaxed, open-air atmosphere that enhances the experience for all.

Glenwood Avenue Arts Festival

The Glenwood Avenue Arts Fest (GAAF) is a beloved annual celebration in Rogers Park, bringing together over 130 artists and more than two dozen music and dance performances. This vibrant weekend event features live art demonstrations, a kids’ activity zone, and open studios for a truly immersive creative experience.


Visitors can explore and purchase diverse artwork—from traditional woodworking and ceramics to digital art and cutting-edge mixed media—by local and visiting artists. Set along the charming cobblestone streets of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District, near the Morse CTA Red Line stop, the fest also offers delicious bites from neighborhood eateries. Best of all, admission is free!

Hirde with Alpha and The Princes of Futa

Hirde with Alpha and the Princes of Futa is a spiritual journey of love, celebration, and meditation through a drumming circle, music, singing and dancing.

Community Paddle

Join the Leone Beach Park Advisory Council at the Leone Beach Park Community Paddle to celebrate summer paddling on the Rogers Park lakefront and meet other paddlers!


Groups will launch from 9-11am and do an out/back paddle, with the route and duration determined by weather and group experience.

Lifeline Theatre: 2025/2026 Season


Lifeline Theatre’s Artistic Ensemble announces their 2025-26 season of Big Stories, Up Close. This 43rd year for the Rogers Park not-for-profit theater begins in September 2025 and includes three MainStage productions, three KidSeries productions, and three Concert Readings, as well as the 4th annual BIPOC Showcase.

24th District Beat & Council Meetings

In the 49th Ward, the 24th District patrols nine Beats. Each patrol Beat in the Chicago Police Department hosts monthly or bi-monthly community Beat meetings. The primary purpose of the Beat community meetings is to allow Beat residents, other community stakeholders and police to discuss chronic problems on the Beat and to engage in problem-solving. Beat community meetings provide an opportunity for police and community residents to exchange information about conditions in the neighborhood.
