2025 One Howard Street Intersection Art RFP
Rogers Park Business Alliance (RPBA) invites artists or firms to submit proposals for these intersections above on Howard Street. One is located at Howard & Paulina. The other at Howard/Rogers/Greenview.
Designs are encouraged to be an impactful public art piece for the Howard Street community to enjoy that also contributes to pedestrian safety and traffic calming while incorporating the Howard Street brand.

Chicago Tap Theatre: 5-day Summer Intensive
Begins: Mon, July 7
Where: Visceral Dance Center 3121 N. Rockwell St.
Join Chicago Tap Theatre for their 5-day Summer Intensive. Spend the week expanding your knowledge and building your skills in choreography, improvisation, soloing, technique, and tap history. Work with live musicians and learn from CTT’s own Mark Yonally, Sterling Harris, and Molly Smith. Both Intermediate and Advanced options will be available for ages 9 to adult! Teachers attend free with three students.
Some features you DON’T want to miss include -
- A Tap Jam at Jarvis Square! This is an opportunity to gain low stakes experience improvising with a live band while also connecting with the tap dance community. The CTT team will be there to provide guidance, and cheer you on!
- The Showcase! Show off what you learned through the week with special performances by anyone who submitted for the “Professional Feedback and Performance Opportunity.” Dancers and their families are all welcome to attend!=

Summer Festival Artisan Sign Up
The folks over at Jarvis Square are looking to build their summer festival artisan vendor list!
They are seeking a diverse range of artisans to create a dynamic and appealing market. Applications will be reviewed based on factors such as product variety, quality, and overall fit with the festival's theme. Spots are limited, and applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, with selection based on the above criteria.
Booths are $50, we will provide tables and shared tents.

In the 49th Ward, the 24th District patrols nine Beats. Each patrol Beat in the Chicago Police Department hosts monthly or bi-monthly community Beat meetings. The primary purpose of the Beat community meetings is to allow Beat residents, other community stakeholders and police to discuss chronic problems on the Beat and to engage in problem-solving. Beat community meetings provide an opportunity for police and community residents to exchange information about conditions in the neighborhood.
