A DEFCAD Newsletter! Right off the bat, we've got the latest in printable suppressors with Plaboi's FTN.3 Platform. Plaboi releases a dedicated 5.56x45 design, followed by a rimfire variant optimized for fiberglass and carbon fiber construction. But the good times don't stop there. We get a polygonal redesign of the FTN.3 by way of his EZ Suppressor Pack, a .22LR release named the Ven22ri, unique in FTN.3 series for being designed for upright printing. Finally, the artist has taken everything he learned from his FTN.3 series and produced an optimized design for pistol caliber carbines (like the FGC-9) with his FTN.3 PCC Expansion Pack.

The DIY Defense community has not been idly waiting for releases, however. We've already seen evolutions of the techniques shown in the FTN.3. The developer youknowthatsright remixed the FTN.3 Rimfire to include space for a stampable washer (in case you'd like to Form 1 your printed suppressor). The dev likestoshootstuff remixed the standard FTN.3 to add compatibility for Mac 10 and 11 threads, and FosscadBurner69 (great name) made a variant of the 5.56x45 FTN.3 that works with KAK Mini Flash Cans. Good, hard work.

But the FTN.3 is not the only platform with updates. Void3DPrinting, resident king of the suppressor remix, released another series for his base suppressor platform across a wide array of caliber types. He calls it Chuckle. As usual, Chuckle builds are chambered in 300, rimfire, 9mm, .40, .223, and 7.62. With subversive decorations, the series departs stylistically from the usual Void builds as well. We're looking forward to seeing how these files perform.

But you know DEFCAD hosts more than suppressors. This week we present a new way to die in the dark with Creative-Extension11's digital-only refinement of the classic PVS-69: the EnVeeGee v2. Designed to be made from off-the-shelf components, this night vision setup represents the state-of-the-art in DIY Defense.

Unseenkiller has been very busy, and his freshest design drops with the War Machine. Released by AWCY?, the War Machine is a remix of the DB9 Slim that offers an insane amount of magazine storage (up to 12!). This is the sort of project that 3D Printing was made for. We hope you have as much fun building it as unseenkiller had in designing it.

Rounding out the week we have the G£OCK & WE$$ON 38mm v2 by the preeminent Mr.Chonkers. The signal launcher space in DIY Defense has always been a favorite for us at DEFCAD and this design blows us away. This form factor has finally come into its own, and this build makes a solid statement piece.

Obama Judge Sharon Coleman in Illinois made headlines in ruling that illegal immigrants have Second Amendment rights. Regarding the immigrant in this case, judge Coleman wrote:

“[Mr.] Carbajal-Flores has never been convicted of a felony, a violent crime, or a crime involving the use of a weapon. Even in the present case, Carbajal-Flores contends that he received and used the handgun solely for self-protection and protection of property during a time of documented civil unrest in the Spring of 2020,”
