I'd like to write a quick note about Odysee: They have been involved for some time in a law suite with the feds, some rubbish about them illegally trading in securities. Long and short of it is that they have lost this suit, and Odyseeas we know it will most likely move into the hands of parties who do not support our best interests.
Fortunately Odysee is simply a front end for the decentralized LBRY network, which we can continue to use after Odysee is gone. However, the learning curve here is much higher, and in order for it to function we must actively use the network, and host content for it.
I also have questions about how our accounts on Odysee, the comments, and control of content, will be effected. Can these be moved over to LBRY? I don't know.
If you are familiar with how LBRY and Odysee work, please reach out to me to discuss details. I'd like to learn as much as I can, and hopefully get more people aware of the situation with Odysee, and the need for a move to LBRY.
