A while back I released the V5.3.D Orca upgrade pack, It contained a new stock with a longer length of pull, pretty simple. However, I received reports of an issue I had missed during upload, the bottom of the stock would not sit flat on the print bed during slicing, resulting in a empty layer.
I found that this was due to a artifact from the texturing process, and fixed it. The fixed files have been reuploaded to Odysee, link below. The name of the release package is followed by "Fix B", if your release package does not have this, then it is the older defective release. Be sure to download the new release prior to printing!
I'm sorry for the aggravation this caused some of you, and I'll be sure to check for this issue in the future ;)
I'd like to write a quick note about Odysee: They have been involved for some time in a law suite with the feds, some rubbish about them illegally trading in securities. Long and short of it is that they have lost this suit, and Odyseeas we know it will most likely move into the hands of parties who do not support our best interests.
Fortunately Odysee is simply a front end for the decentralized LBRY network, which we can continue to use after Odysee is gone. However, the learning curve here is much higher, and in order for it to function we must actively use the network, and host content for it.
I also have questions about how our accounts on Odysee, the comments, and control of content, will be effected. Can these be moved over to LBRY? I don't know.
If you are familiar with how LBRY and Odysee work, please reach out to me to discuss details. I'd like to learn as much as I can, and hopefully get more people aware of the situation with Odysee, and the need for a move to LBRY.
Many of you may not know this, but I am active on Instagram, Twitter, Rumble, and Odysee, as well as YouTube. Be sure to check out my pages!
